About Us
It's impossible to talk about Halus without talking about me, Mariana, because this brand is a true extension of who I am. My story with jewelry started early, when I was just a 4-year-old girl, fascinated by everything that sparkled. Since then, I've always been sure that this was my path. At 12, I was already venturing into making my first pieces with wires and beads, sharing them with the neighbors. My passion grew and evolved, which led me to a degree in Jewelry Design at ESAD.
Over the years, I continued to hone my craft: in 2013, I won the Portojóia award with a ring I created for the occasion. In 2015, I fulfilled a dream by taking a course in London to specialize in colored gemstones. That experience was intense; however, feeling privileged to have that opportunity, I strived to earn a scholarship that allowed me to return to London to continue my gemologist training at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where I completed the diamond course.
After 8 years working as a designer and creative director for a jewelry brand, in 2020, during the period when we were all at home, my desire to create something of my own, something more, became impossible to ignore.
Being part of your stories and seeing the happiness of the people I can touch and impact with my art is truly incredible and makes all the effort worthwhile.
