Symbolic Rings - Lady Di

The ring chosen by Princess Diana in 1981, when she became engaged to Prince Charles, sparked controversy, of course, because it wasn’t a unique piece, nor was it special or custom-made, and anyone could purchase it from the crown jeweller's atelier at the time: Garrard.

It features a central sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds set in white gold, and it became so iconic that it took on Princess Diana's name, Lady Di.

In 2010, Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with that very same ring (lucky her)!

The ring represents not only a legacy of love but also the continuation of a symbolic line connecting two generations.

Diana was one of the most beloved princesses worldwide, making this piece a coveted item that traditional brides still seek out today.

As a piece I greatly admire for its simplicity and elegance, you’ll also find jewellery inspired by this same ring at Halus, like the Lady Di Emerald Earrings, a timeless pair of earrings.
